Construction Helper

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Valid drivers license and personal vehicle
- Works alongside construction lead to perform tasks as directed
- Operates power tools to include air compressor, jackhammer, concrete saw, trencher, skill saw, hydraulic or electric winch and powder actuated fasteners
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times by sweeping, cleaning and removing trash
- Maintains and up keeps property, tools, equipment and materials at all times and reports to lead when tool / equipment repair is needed
- Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations
- Works effectively with others and takes direction as necessary
- Collect all invoices and receipts of all purchased materials and supplies and submit to administration staff for processing

Construction Lead

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Evaluates and examines all areas to ensure craftsmanship meet established standards and are completed within appropriate time limits.
- Maintains productivity by allocating resources and delegating tasks appropriate to employee skills.
- Anticipates material needs for next day and document in daily logs. Problem solve and set courses of action to meet objectives each day.
- Utilizes daily log to document daily progress on job site.
- Maintains work areas and systems in a neat, orderly condition to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitors results of delegated assignments, evaluates budget compliance and makes suggestions as appropriate.
- Communicates in a clear, concise manner via verbal and written form with HUG employees and other groups, clients and vendors, to ensure comprehension.
- Develops and maintains an effective company culture through the selection and hiring, training, , encouragement, and review of direct staff.
- Operates power tools in a safe manner to include table saws, radial arm saws, miter saws, table and hand planers, nailers and drills.
- Lifts and carries tools to perform repairs.
- Collect all invoices and receipts of all purchased materials and supplies and submit to administration staff for processing.
- Communicates with project manager to clarify work order information and to relay repair results.
- Adheres to established policies and procedures and pays special attention to safety regulations.
- Cleans and maintains company vehicles according to company standards.
- Submit weekly paperwork and sign-in sheets for tailgate meetings and walk through inspections.
- Assist with training and on boarding of construction helpers.
- Applies knowledge of commercial codes, fire codes and regulations, and ensures compliance to all requirements.
- Maintains records in an accurate manner to include worksheets and equipment usage records.
- Performs driver responsibilities as needed.
